At some point, wellness stopped feeling simple.
Every company claimed to have the miracle solution. Every ingredient was suddenly “life changing.” Every ad promised more energy, less stress, better focus, better sleep, better recovery, better everything.
And honestly, after a while, it all starts to sound the same.
That’s a big part of why Vital Roots Wellness started in the first place.
Not because I thought the world needed another wellness company.
And definitely not because I had everything figured out.
It actually started from curiosity more than anything else.
Curiosity about why so many people felt run down physically all the time. Curiosity about why stiffness, soreness, low energy, poor recovery, and inflammation seemed to become “normal” for so many adults. And curiosity about why wellness advice online often felt either completely unrealistic… or completely disconnected from real life.
Because most people aren’t trying to become elite athletes or biohackers.
They just want to feel good.
They want to wake up without feeling stiff, move comfortably, have steady energy throughout the day, and not feel like their body is constantly fighting against them.
That felt a lot more real to me.
Wellness Became Loud
One thing I kept noticing was how noisy the wellness industry had become.
Every week there was a new “miracle” ingredient. A new trend. A new extreme diet (thanks TikTok). A new person claiming they found the one thing everyone else was missing.
Meanwhile, a lot of people still felt exhausted, inflamed, stiff, stressed, and overwhelmed.
And I think a lot of people got tired of being marketed to constantly.
Especially when many wellness brands started feeling more like marketing companies than actual wellness companies.
That’s part of why I wanted Vital Roots Wellness to feel different.
Not perfect.
Not flashy.
Just more grounded.
More practical.
More focused on things that actually matter in day-to-day life.
The Things That Interested Me Most
The more I started learning about health and wellness, the more interested I became in the basics that people often overlook.
Things like:
- inflammation
- movement
- recovery
- sleep
- ingredient quality
- hydration
- long-term consistency
- 3rd party testing
Not because those topics are trendy.
But because they actually affect how people feel physically.
A lot of the blogs on this site came from noticing the same patterns over and over again in real life.
People feeling stiff after sitting too long. Feeling worse after poor sleep. Feeling more sore from “normal” activities than they used to. Waking up feeling tight even after resting.
Those are real experiences people deal with every day.
That’s why we’ve spent so much time writing about topics like:
- Why Your Body Hurts More After Doing “Normal” Things Now
-
Why Your Back Feels Tight When You Stand Up (But Loosens After a Few Steps)
-
Why Some Joint Supplements Work… and Others Feel Like a Waste of Money
and more...
Because understanding what your body is trying to tell you matters a lot.
Why Joint Support Became Such a Big Focus
One thing that became really obvious to me over time is how connected everything is to inflammation and recovery.
A lot of people aren’t necessarily injured.
They’re just worn down.
Years of repetitive movement, stress, poor recovery, sitting too much, physical work, lack of movement, poor sleep, and everyday wear and tear slowly start catching up.
That’s when people start saying things like:
- “I feel stiff all the time now”
- “I don’t bounce back like I used to”
- “Why does everything make me sore now?”
And actually, those conversations happen way earlier in life than most people expect.
That’s a huge reason why joint support became such a major focus.
Not because we think supplements magically solve everything.
But because supporting inflammation, movement, recovery, and long-term joint comfort genuinely matters—especially as life gets busier and your body gets less forgiving.
We’ve Never Wanted Wellness to Feel One-Dimensional
Even though joint support became a major focus for us, Vital Roots Wellness was never meant to be only about one ingredient or one category of health.
Because feeling good physically usually isn’t just one thing.
It’s sleep, recovery, stress, energy, movement, nutrition, inflammation, and all the small daily habits that affect how you feel over time.
That’s a big reason we’ve explored so many different wellness topics and products over the years.
Some people are focused on sleep and recovery. Some are trying to support energy and focus naturally. Others are simply trying to feel a little better day to day without relying on quick fixes for everything.
That’s why our products range from things like Plant Sourced Vitamin C & Mushroom Immune Booster for immune support, to grass-fed desiccated beef liver, sea moss , collagen, B-12 support, and joint support formulas and more.
Because wellness isn’t one-dimensional.
A lot of modern wellness became too extreme somewhere along the way.
We’ve always been more interested in the practical side of things—supporting your body consistently, paying attention to quality, and building realistic habits that actually fit into normal life.
That’s the mindset behind everything we do.
Why Quality Became Such a Big Deal to Us
The more I learned about the supplement industry, the more I realized how inconsistent quality can be from brand to brand.
I discovered how many cheap products were flooding the market with very little transparency around sourcing, testing, purity, or manufacturing standards.
And that didn’t sit right with me.
Because a low-quality supplement doesn’t just defeat the purpose—it can end up being a waste of money altogether.
Why?
If the ingredients are poorly sourced, underdosed, or not formulated well for absorption, you may not actually be getting the support you think you are buying in the first place.
And over time, constantly buying products that don’t work well or aren’t made with quality in mind can end up costing you more in the long run anyway.
If you’re ingesting something consistently, you should probably feel confident about what’s actually inside of it.
That became a major philosophy at Vital Roots Wellness.

We wanted to create supplements that people could feel good about taking without constantly second-guessing quality.
That’s why our supplements are:
- third-party tested
- screened for heavy metals
- made in the USA
- manufactured in an FDA GMP-certified facility
And just as importantly, we focus on formulations that actually make practical sense instead of simply chasing trends.
Because wellness can already feel complicated enough.
The last thing people need is to wonder whether the supplements they’re taking are trustworthy in the first place.
Still a Small Family-Owned Brand
Vital Roots Wellness is still a small family-owned brand, and we're going to keep that grounded feeling as we grow.
That matters to me.
Because I never wanted this to feel like one of those giant wellness companies pumping out endless trendy products just to chase whatever’s popular that month.
I wanted it to feel human.
Calm.
Practical.
And actually helpful.
That’s also why this blog side of Vital Roots Wellness became such a major focus.
We want to help people understand:
- why their body feels the way it does
- what inflammation actually is
- why movement matters
- why recovery matters
- and what realistic long-term wellness actually looks like
Because most people don’t need perfection.
They just want to feel a little better, move a little easier, sleep a little better, and have enough energy left to enjoy normal life.
I'd like to think that’s a pretty reasonable goal.
The Bottom Line
Vital Roots Wellness started from curiosity, but it’s built on high-quality ingredients, trust, and practical wellness that actually makes sense for real life.
The more I learned about inflammation, recovery, movement, sleep, and ingredient quality, the more I realized how much small daily habits affect how people feel over time.
That’s what this brand is really about.
Not selling miracle pills.
Just trying to take a more realistic, grounded approach to feeling better long term.
And I think a lot more people are looking for that now too. Too many people have been burned by supplements that just don't work.
With all the TikTok trends about the latest this or that, I want Vital Roots Wellness to be a place where people can come and get real world practical advice that makes sense in the real world day to day.
FAQ
What is Vital Roots Wellness?
Vital Roots Wellness is a small family-owned wellness brand focused on practical health, joint support, recovery, and long-term wellness education.
Why did you start Vital Roots Wellness?
The brand started from a growing interest in why so many people feel run down physically and why so much wellness advice felt unrealistic or overhyped. It was later built on the NEED for higher quality ingredients in a market saturated by cheap ingredients and quick over night miracle fixes.
Is Vital Roots Wellness only about joint support?
No. Not at all actually. Joint support is a major focus, but the overall goal is supporting better movement, recovery, energy, and long-term wellness in a practical way. We have many products ranging from joint and inflammation support, sleep, stress, immune health, energy and focus.
Why does the blog focus so much on inflammation and recovery?
Because those two things affect how people feel physically far more than many people realize—especially as stress, age, poor sleep, repetitive movement, physical work, and everyday wear and tear start adding up over time.
A lot of people don’t necessarily feel “injured.” They just feel more stiff, more sore, more worn down, and slower to recover than they used to. That’s often where inflammation and recovery start becoming a much bigger part of the conversation.
The goal of the blog is to help people better understand those patterns, why they happen, and what practical things can actually help support the body long term.
